JUST DO IT

Procrastination and I are very close.
(Not that I want to be)
I almost always leave things to the last minute, then once the task or job is completed I wonder why I hadn't just finished it earlier.

THE NOTEBOOK

I've just come across it again.

I'd forgotten how gorgeous it all is, especially the Love Story of Allie & Noah.
It is still definitely one of my favourite movies.

JE VEUX CETTE ARMOIRE

{via}

My built in wardrobe is quite small and getting rather squishy of late as I've began adding more clothes, weekly.

(I'm using winter as my excuse to stock up and layering will keep me warm - right?!)

Something like this would be perfect to store new arrivals and subtly flash some colour & prints to my bedroom

I want this Armoire. C'est belle

MY MANTLE

This weekend my house had a been of a tidy up and I was left with a blank mantle to style.

The above is what I came up with this morning. The little Kangaroo & Flamingo cut-outs are part of a Zoo Calendar Set my sister bought me for Christmas. Hanging is an Orson & Blake Tea Towel and various pieces from my antiquing trips (the frames & reel are last weeks finds)

I'm thinking of creating a new look each month now.

Stay tuned..

I LIKE HER VOICE

I first heard a song of hers playing on Triple J this week and loved how it flowed from 50s Jazz into a futuristic sound. Further investigating led me to Triple J Unearthed and more great songs.

Happy Mother's Day, Mum

WEEKEND FINDS

Old Metal Petrol Number
(7 for my Birth Date)
~
Antique Frames
~
Lilac Vintage Teapot
~
Seduction Roses
(From Mums Cottage Garden)

This Weekend I visited one of my favorite places back home in Country Victoria

The BIG Shed
A haven for hunters like myself, it is filled with Antiques & Collectables as well as Vintage Clothing
I can never leave without purchasing something.
This time I walked away with the Lilac Teapot & Frames

Another stop was to

I was in awe by the beautiful range of Furniture and Vintage Bric-a-brac in the little shop fit out. There were also some great vintage clothing pieces I quite liked. Everything was so beautifully displayed, if it were not for the limit in my bank account and the matter of fitting it all into the car to take back to Melbourne, I would have bought some beautiful furniture pieces including a Rustic Trestle Table and seats - I will be Back
Here I picked up the Petrol number & Vintage Wooden spool (not shown)

Now to find places for them...

SWEET KITCHEN

I seem to be thinking about food a lot this week!
I made the Oreo Cupcakes shown in an earlier post and must say they tasted Amazing!
Feeling very much in a baking mood at the moment - maybe its the cold weather and the delicious treats warm me up!?

Anyway, this Kitchen is rather cute and thought Id share it
Really liking the Green Pendant lights and overall colour combinations here

BEACH HOUSE

This weekend was the last day of settlement for my family's beach house, known as 'Yellams'.

It is quite sad knowing that there will be no more Summer Holidays spent there as I have been going as long as I can remember. For 35 years it has been in our family, since my dad was young (hence why it is stuck in the 70's) but that was another thing I loved about the place.

The fun times had with family & friends will be treasured forever

OREO CUPCAKES

So I just came across these photos on a very cute blog, and oh my did my mouth start to water!
 YUM

The Recipe can be found here ;)
